In my family, dinner time is the most important meal of the day. It is understood that if you miss dinner, you had better have a damn good reason. The 9 of us look forward to enjoying the day spent outside and finishing it off with a good meal. Our favorites are often cooked on the barbeque. One that we have come to love more and more are hot pepper poppers.

CaveTools Hot Pepper Popper Coring Tool

If you are a regular hot pepper popper maker (say that three times fast) then you know how much fun it is to core and deseed a hot pepper. With this handy coring tool, it’s as simple as chopping the top and plunging the tool into the pepper. Now turn 360 degrees, and remove from the pepper. It’s like frickin MAGIC. The flesh, the seeds and the core, all come out trapped within the stainless steel tool. Boom. 24 peppers took me 10 min to decore and deseed.

Hot Pepper Poppers On The BBQ!

After you take the seeds out, you gotta rinse them. Mix up the filling and stuff those hot pepper poppers. Go ahead and get your hands dirty like Auntie Karen here! Can’t take the heat? No big deal. I also make these for the delicate tummies as well. Just use the sweet peppers in place of the hot ones.
Now it’s time to use your rack. ( I have been struggling with how to use the rack in a word play kind of way and I just can not without being way to NSFW!!) My tip? The bigger around the pepper is, the better it will fit. I came across two peppers that would not fit in the rack. But, I was thinking on my toes and used a sweet pepper to hold it in! Bam!
Tips For A Great Meal
I have played with this recipe lots and come to know only one thing to be 100% true when it comes to making hot pepper poppers, and they are:
- Cheese Please – Lots of cheese. We love the combo of cream cheese, cheddar, and pepper jack
- Don’t Skimp On The Bacon- I love to use thick cut peppered bacon, but if all you have is bits, then get it, girl. Bacon the hell out of it!

And, because I love a good printable, and I love a great recipe, even more, I have made you a print or download version, to keep and share! From our family to your family, ENJOY!

If you are like me, then you need this as much as I do. Bonus? I found it on Amazon for you and, it’s included in prime! You are welcome, my friend! So tell me, do you like your pepper poppers hot, or not hot? And don’t forget your 15% discount when you purchase your own! Just enter ROASTPEPPER15 at checkout! (Don’t say I don’t love y’all!)
Until next time,

LOL, I don’t do anything HOT. I tease my daughter-in-law (who I will be sharing this post with) that she is always trying to kill me by offering me spicy foods. For her, the hotter the better.
Alas, peppers and I are not friends. Even the smell of them puts me off. Hopefully you’ve got pepper loving friends over for your BBQ!!!

I love spicy food! These look so amazing!
Bacon wrapped poppers have become a Thanksgiving tradition. I love poppers and for whatever reason have never made these. The tray is perfect. Wonder if you can use the rack for bacon wrapped poppers?
I think that it would work. I use toothpicks to hold the smaller peppers in place and I think it would work for the bacon as well! And yes, that tray is amazing. Works great for drumsticks as well!
Wow this looks great and I don’t even like spicey food! I have to try this 🙂
